Advierte la ONU que el mundo sufre la peor crisis humanitaria desde el final de la II Guerra Mundial, pues 20 millones de habitantes de Yemen, Somalia, Sudán del Sur y Nigeria, corren el riesgo de padecer malnutrición y hambruna.
El jefe humanitario de la organización, Stephen O’Brien, indicó ante el Consejo de Seguridad de la ONU: “Nos encontramos en un punto crítico de la historia. Sin esfuerzos globales colectivos y coordinados, la gente simplemente morirá de hambre”.
